Summer Fun!

Okay so this is just a normal post. Title really has no point but to get your attention. I check my daily views and I would love to know who is checking out my blog! So whoever reads this post and has seen the previous, leave a comment, let me know how you got onto my blog, and what you think! The last three posts are from July 6th to July 20th. Between a new job, online classes, and these cakes it has been very crazy. With all of the baking going on in my house, I couldn't just stop. I am home alone this weekend so not only am I baking but I cooked dinner too. It was really nice to cook for myself and get to play around in the kitchen again! So I made creamy caesar risotto and a broccoli cheese stuffed chicken breast for dinner, and just finished a batch of chocolate peanut butter cookies. No new cakes scheduled so not sure when the next great creation will be posted :)

-Thanks for reading!

This cake was for Saturday *yesterday*. The last of my very busy month. Sport themed, buttercream cake with fondant decorations, and softball cupcakes :)

25th Anniversary Wedding Cake

The last three weeks have been pretty busy! This cake was made last week at the start of this crazy heat wave. Pineapple Upside Down cake with pineapple filling. One of my all time favorites.

[NOTE: These are the first pictures of the cake. There where flowers added and professional pictures taken, when I get copies, I will replace these with those! :) ]

Lemon Cupcakes

I love taking ordinary vanilla cake and making it something different. These lemon cupcakes have a tart cake, sweet lemonade frosting and some had candied lemon peel.

Fondant Flowers

Fondant can be formed into some of the best cake decorations. This is a simple rose for a cake due in July. All colors and sizes available.

Churros

Fresh churros. Different sizes and lengths available if thats what you want. Rolled in cinnamon sugar, served with that homemade caramel sauce :)

This is homemade caramel for churro's, ice cream, to fill cupcakes, ect. Look at that consistency!

Well It's Been A While....

I started this blog in February after making the baby shower cake in my first post. I feel I should give a little background on myself and why I am online. My name is Madison Fornal, I am 18. I graduated from a culinary program in high school and went to the Culinary Institute of America in the fall of 2012. I left the program and changed paths to be a Early Childhood Teacher. I love to bake and make people happy. Just not over 12 hours a day and giving up all my holidays and family time. So that leads me to this blog. I wanted a place to show people what I do so when friends and family want a cake they can see some things I have done. I have three cakes for July, and some churro's and brownies this week. Yupp I make all kinds of desserts. I'll post some pictures of new things during the week and once cakes are done.  Any questions or comments feel free to post. If it is time sensitive, email me at madison_fornal@yahoo.com, please subject the title as Madison's Cake Design.
